Brisbane Pétanque Club was founded in 2002 by a passionate group of players who built our courts at Kalinga Park to share the joy of this beloved French sport with the Brisbane community.
Over two decades on, we've grown into a welcoming home for players of every age and ability — from complete beginners trying the sport for the first time to seasoned competitors representing the club at state and national tournaments.
As a member club of Pétanque Federation Australia, we're committed to skill development, friendly competition, and welcoming anyone who wants to give it a try.
Every newcomer is greeted, paired with experienced members, and made to feel at home from their first throw. We genuinely enjoy welcoming new players — it's the foundation of the club.
Pétanque is one of the most inclusive sports there is. Our members range from teens to players in their 80s, complete beginners to club champions — and everyone plays alongside each other.
Whether you're here for a relaxed afternoon with friends or to sharpen your game for inter-club competitions, the club supports both. No pressure either way — play the way you enjoy.
BPC is officially affiliated with Pétanque Federation Australia, the national governing body for the sport. Membership gives players access to state and national competitions and a clear pathway for those who want to take their game further.
